Summertime and the Breathing's Not Easy

I step with splashes, but there’s no saving rain.
Only sun much more hot than heat.
A steaming stalled sizzle of summer steam.
It is my sweat dripping on the street
And forming puddles at my feet.

Each week on Sunday the Monkey Man gives a challenge to write a poem in only 160 characters. Like writing a tweet – it takes some doing to convey thought in so few words. Come join the fun!

This says so much using so little.

Hope you find relief soon.

Great 160.

Love the title...as a respiratory therapist with an asthmatic daughter I can tell you that the breathing is definitely not easy!

I loved how you tied in the last line with your opening. I enjoyed this very much.

It lasts long enough to make puddles? Must be humid there.

Larry - I feel the heat in this piece and hear the sweat dripping.
In the the summer time ... you can shoosh right up and touch the sky

Boy with the heat, it's a wonder the sweat even has a chance to puddle before it evaporates. Thanks for playing along with the Sunday 160.
