In the rain you lose the town.
The wind is up, people gone.
The streets are yours, yours alone;
Yours and the gloom that settled down.
In the wind you’re whipped about
With all your pasts in your soul
Blown exposed once again
To all old lingering doubt.
In the storm the colors fade,
Differences all the same,
Miserable, cold and wet
Blended in some pale lemonade
That you wear instead of drink.
It bleeds, it seeps, it soaks through
All protective covering
Till your spirit’s spirit sinks.
In this dim and dismal day
When all is so cold and dark,
Splash the puddles with your feet
And blindly go upon your way.

Thanks for stopping by and submitting an entry. I loved your poem. It was very well written and well complimented by your photograph. I do hope you will stop by again next week with a brand new entry for us.
I love your writing and photographs, together they really brought it all together nicely.
I enjoyed the photography and the writing...you have captured the emotion of a rainy day heart
